Wood fiber, also called sawdust, is cheap to buy and absorbs moisture well. It
is almost odorless and offers reasonable insulation so that it is suitable as a
nesting material. Allspan's sawdust has been specially processed for use in
animal shelters. Sawdust from a wood factory contains too much dust and is
therefore not usable.
